'Automatic' option in Bluetooth settings |

Can anyone give me a clear answer as to what the 'Automatic' option in the Bluetooth settings menu does? I obviously know what 'On' and 'Off' do - I use Bluetooth many times each day and am very happy with it. The only thing I am not happy with is having to switch Bluetooth on and then off each time I need to use it. I'm hoping the 'Automatic' setting can help me there. Can someone clarify?
Thanks

Does this mean that when I set it to 'Automatic' I will be able to discover the phone with my PC whenever I want to without having to set it to 'On' mode?

mimzo, automatic works when the phone initiates a connection with a paired device.
example, i set my phone to automatic when driving and my hbh-15 on. when i receive a call, the phone connects to the headset and transfers the voice over.
if however you need the PC to discover your phone, and the phone is set to automatic, you have to set your phone to discoverable. this is what i do when i connect the msi or anycom bt when needed. |

Thanks for the info. Following up on what you said, I assume there is no 'easy' way to achieve what is achieveable in the car with the headset over the PC. Correct? If I understand correctly, setting the phone discoverable has the following drawbacks:
1) It only lasts for 3 manually renewable minutes
2) It consumes a lot of battery.
Am I correct in my assumptions?
Thanks in advance
