I have searched the boards for a discussion about this but couldn't find any so here goes.
Just bought a T39 on Orange network. First phone had battery standby problem.. Orange eventually sent a problem even though they were apparently unaware of any issues.. Second phone same problem so sent back to Celestica. This was returned within 3 days and now seems to be working fine, 275hrs standby on full charge!
Anyway after all of this Orange have now told me that they cannot unlock my phone as Ericsson have somehow lost the records of the IMEI numbers and can't supply the code!
Has anyone else heard about this as it seems pretty damn stupid to me. I have asked Orange to supply with me another model of phone, even thought I really like the T39, as the main resaon for buying was to enable almost worldwide roaming but with local SIM's.
My problem is compounded by the fact that with all the messing about with the battery problem etc I have gone past my 14 days money back or the phone would have been on it's way back!
I always thought Orange where very good at what they do but the lack of help I've received in the past two weeks been astounding. They've even called me four times to check details for the unlock code before saying they can't do it!
