if you are on contract then it wont be free unless you have it free as an extra on your contract or they do a free offer. phone 02 customer services and see what they can do for you

Well actually I've had my contract for 6 months now, no special data packages or anything, and I've got free gprs. My phone came with two lots of settings, O2 Mobile Web and O2 WAP GPRS, I've never been charged using either but for some reason the O2 WAP GPRS is slightly faster. I use about 200 MB per month and have never been charged

I'm the same as Bluesign. I've had an O2 contract now for over a year and they so far haven't charged me a penny. I read somewhere it's got something to do with their mobile network, and that when they last tried charging for GPRS/Mobileweb they somehow ended up overcharging everyone who sent MMS's. Whether they will start charging again in the future I don't know, maybe not as they are about to launch their 3G services.

This is good news! l've had my contract sim for 15months but not used the mobile web connection till now. l had my contract through CPW so can check my bill online, so far this month l haven't been charged for gprs via the mobile web connection! Anyone else besides those who have already posted found this to be the case?
