Its a faster version of GPRS. It is available for some operators in America, Europe and Asia. I think its full form is Enhanced Data rates for GSM Evolution. I'm not sure though. You can see the difference if you compare these two in the mobile phones section of Esato, if you're on your pc. :-D

Yes its true, whats the big deal ?

Why would we need EDGE when we have UMTS ? if you want a S700i with 3G speed, get the Z800.

Simple.

Yup S710a has triband 850/1800/1900. I have not seen a S710i version yet with 900/1800/1900. I don't think it exists. Operators in India use 900/1800 band. So I would opt for a P910i there.
