My phone is Sony Ericsson P910i,I bought it online ( It does not including any carrier settings since the phone is unlocked version ) I called Cingular,my carrier for assistance but their reps can't help because Cingular site does not carry my phone, and Sony Ericsson needs all the settings from Cingular before they can walk me through over the phone. I can't download ringtones or log on Internet at all,can some one please help?
Another thing is I'm trying to get some user friendly software for ringtone, for instance,to convert MP3 files from WAV, edit a section of the tracks to use as a ringtone ( about 25-30 seconds ) then send to phone by Bluetooth,USB cable or Infrared.
I know there's a freeware called WAVEPAD can do that but it is not user friendly, does anyone knows other software that does it?
Any suggestions would be helpful!

On the sonyericsson website, there is an option to set up your gprs account. Its a step by step procedure at the end of which you will get the settings of your operator through sms. Try searching for it on the site. I'm on wap currently. Good luck. Its called wap configurator or something.

I encourage you to try fiddling with Wavepad. Although I've read a lot of other suggestions for editors but since I've gotten used to it and it produces the results I need, I decided to stick to it. My purpose is exactly what you have in mind - 25 to 30 sec MP3's as ringtones.

It took me less than a night to figure out how the software works.

If you decide to try it and run into probs, PM me and I'll walk you through it. Not an expert but sure would be willing to keep learning as we go.
