Hi mates, my friend has a T230 and her phone is behaving strangely: when she want's to write a message or a contact name only the 2nd caracter apperas from the keys. I mean, if key nr 2 is pressed then the 'B' appears, not the 'A'. And it stays at the second caracter, nomather how many times it is pressed. A month ago this error occoured, took for about a week, then it vanished, and now it came back. Any ideas?

It happens with my T230 too sometimes. I had a firmware upgrade done to solve it. But, first try a settings reset.

Tried it, but nothing. Tried just settings reset and whole reset, and it kept going like this.

R4A014. Even if her phones firmware is the latest, reflashing should help.

It seems that the 'up' key is stuck. Try to unblock it- press and release it continuously while writing new sms and see if it gets better.

Yes. He is correct. The volume keys are stuck in a pressed position. Just press it again and it will come out. It usually happens when you put the phone in your pocket. It occured to me the very first day i bought the phone.
