2 prototypes in Wallpaper* |

In the latest edition of Wallpaper (april 2005) you can see on page 99 2 new SE-phones. They are featuring in an article of new things to come. It remains unclear if these are prototypes of phones to come next year or if they are just design-ideas.
The first is a pen-like phone designed by Hiroshi Nakaizumi, who appears to be the head of design at SE, and it has only a tiny screen built in but can project colour images on a wall or page. On one end projecting lens, other end is trackball.
The seconds is an amazing looking device, very flat, triangular at the side. The screen turns up and around like those new Nokia'sdo, but it is very very slim. On the base of the phone it looks like there's another screen, it shows numbers and arrow keys and has the aspect of a touchscreen. No number keys. Looks really spectacular. When closed, nothignreveals it's a phone, except for the SE logo.
I have not found any images on the web. I'd scan the page and post it here but have no time atthe moment and fear copyright problems with Wallpaper*.
The article features more crazy ideas from Siemens and 3. Of course the two SE's make the others look helplessly amateuristic ;-) |

This phone is on your site, it's on the prototypes page in the central column, it's the 5th picture down. |

Prototypes are hardly ever mass manufactured though!
Stop dreaming!

The two pictures shown above and on the usep page are indeed the ones that feature in the article.
So they are 'old'? Why do they pop up in Wallpaper* just now?
I have a B&W pdf of the page but can't get it online from where I'm now.
