Any idea when the W800i Walkman is due to be released in Australia?

I've FINALLY managed to convince my better half to buy a new phone (she's an unhappy Nokia owner that's had the Nokia 6600 since its Australia release) and THIS is the phone she's chosen...

Actually, from my experience, it's often anywhere up to (and sometimes including) 3 months before we see them here!

I didn't have to try hard to convince her- the 6600 is OFFICIALLY the buggiest phone Nokia have EVER made; after using it for quite some time, she's gone from being a devoted Nokia fan to a Sony Ericsson fan (from using MY Sony Ericsson phones)!

All I did was show her the impressive specs (the camera's her main interest)...

Sometimes we get lucky though- the K700i and P910i were pretty quick getting here (the Z1010 took AGES to get here and to an extent, the S700i!)...

I wouldn't bother with the W800, waste of money. Its gonna be expensive, just get a Z800 or D750, slightly cheaper... [addsig]

From what little I've seen of the "N Series," they're not all that impressive...

With the right accessories, even current-model Windows Mobile Pocket PCs with Integrated Phone Capabilities blow them away; what's in the pipeline is even better without the need to add additional accessories!

NZ's MyMobile magazine is expecting W800 in NZ in August at the price of....NZ$900 or AUS$851

They also list the K750i as NZ$899

Most people on esato have been expecting W800 to be much more expensive than the K750i. NZ$900 sounds to good to be true!

That's a hell of a lot cheaper than I expected it to be!

I daresay the price will go up between now and when it's released though...

After all, it's got a 2MP camera and comes with a 512MB Memory Stick PRO Duo...
