hmmm, it would be interesting to see the P800 side by side with similar products, such as Treo, Joey PDA, or Sendo Z100 Smart?phone.

The P800 is quite thicker than the IPaq (you can't see that on this picture). The IPaq has a bigger screen and that excuses its bigger width. IMHO, an IPaq (+maybe T68i) would be a better choice than the P800, it just has loads and loads of all kinds of apps and games available. And I'd rather have a little wider device with a bigger screen than a thicker device with an integrated toy camera.

3870 and t68 combo is fantastic and will always beat the p800. It is after all 2 different markets.

The 3870 paired with a T68 gets a bit bulky. I would rather have one device that integrates both. The P800 is a great alternative. I was looking at the HTC Pocket PC but that was only 900/1900 GSM and had no Bluetooth. The P800 also offers an excellent size/weight to functionality ratio which gives it my instant approval. The appz will come when the P800 is released. I expect a huge boom of software creation just like when the iPAQ first came out.

They beauty of the IPaq+T68 combo is that when you don't really need the PDA, you simply don't take it with you. When I go out for a drink with my friends, I really don't want to carry aroud a brick like a P800 or IPaq. What I want then is the smallest and lightest phone that there is. Carrying something as big and heavy as the P800 ALL THE TIME is really not something I need in my life. I thought that new phones are supposed to be smaller and lighter than the old ones, not the other way around!

p800 is nice in its own way. you can't compare an iPaq with a p800. iPaq + t68i is the best combo. especially the newer ones that have BT. i never leave home without them.

Well carry on convincing yourselves, becauase i had an ipaq +t68i before i bought the p8, the ipaq was the bluetooth 3870.
All those thoughts of only taking th phone when you don`t need the pda go out the window when u get the p8 because you actually don`t know when you might need the pda funcionality, so having it always with u is great.
Next point is that the ipaq is a bit crap as far as BT use is concerned as its very basic, the reality is that the p8 is a BETTER pda in my view.
Yes i said BETTER, it`s exactly like having an ipaq with a built in phone & cam in a small & easily pocket size package.
Only thing is i do different is i have to make a note on the p8 of changes to word documents, (because u can`t edit them on the phone yet) then later on my laptop i update the document then send via bt to p8 to replace the old word doc, this is a tiny price to pay for the outstanding benefits of having a p8.
If you think an ipaq+small phone is better you really are kidding your selves (i couldn`t believe how shit the ipaq battery life was & the fact you couldn`t carry a spare battery is laughable, i don`t carry a spare battery on p8 cos it doesn`t need it).
