my k7ooi keeps going onto the (port handsfree)profile even though my headset is not plugged in and i cant hear a thing when i make and receive calls unless i plug in the hands free any one else had or having this problem and know what i can do about it tried master reset but just the same apprecieate any help |

I've had three phones now with this fault, one T610, K500i and a K700i. By searching this forum it seems like the t68i is the phone which has had this problem the most. What I cant really figure out is if this is a software or hardware based problem. If you make a factory reset the phone works just as it should but as soon as you restart the phone it starts up with the port. handsfree profile. It also works if you remove the battery when the phone is on. That says the startup procedure is somewhat different in those two situations.
I have switched the charging connector and cleaned of the contact surfaces. The funny thing is that this problem also makes the phone non upgradeable. The dss-25 just wont recognize. But I cant think that this is software based since it happened to three(!) of my phones.
If this is a known fault I would love the get some input on this.
