i want to text a friend on holiday in Jamaca and i'm in the uk and 02.

do i just text there number like normal or do i have to put the country code in front? cheers for any speedy reply's!

also will reports still work?

Yes. Just prefix the international code before your friends number. I think its +81 for japan. And delivery reports works for me when i sent texts abroad . So it should work for you too! Good luck!

Oh its jamaica! I i misread it as japan! I think its 1809 for jamaica. I'm not sue though. You'll find the country code in any diary or phone directory.

There isn't much delay in the delivery reports. Do confirm the country code from your operator if you still have any doubts.

the delivery report depends on the networks. i prefer to use 00 instead of +.

Does that make any difference? What does the + sign denote anyway? Never understood the logic behind it!

i think + means 00, not 100% sure tho

are you sure you have to but the countrys international code when you txt them then they are away, just asking cos when ever i txt ppl who are in other countries i never do and they still get it?
