I can send files, etc to my K700 from my PC, but whenever I try to send from the phone to the PC, I get a 'connection failed' message all the time!
Any ideas? |

Thanks, but it was to do with the fact I was using the Microsoft drivers and not the WIDCOMM ones.
Didn't realise how to disable the MS ones and force the WIDCOMM.
Everything OK now. |

There is a very useful thread on this subject here somewhere - unfortunately I can't remember what it is!
Basically, you should install the widcomm drivers, BUT when it asks to plug the Bluetooth device in, DON'T - select cancel. The MS drivers will install.
Then go to Device Manager, select the Bluetooth Radio (I think), update driver, select 'don't connect to internet', 'install from a specific location', 'don't search, i will choose....', then select the 'CSR...'. Then everything will be OK.
Works like a dream now! |

Hi, I am a very ripe (not to say overripe) computer user and recently bought a Sony K700,
can somebody please explain in simple words, and from a-z, how do I get my phone and my cmputer to interact? What is widcomm and how do I find this? I did install the software which came with the phone, fat help. I suppose I am the dumbest thing ever to enter this place but please have patience at least I managed to find somewhere to ask for help.
