s700i MMS error 'download failed unsupported content' |

I'm on O2 and have an MMS problem on a new S700i. The phone cannot receive MMS from any phone except if I send one to myself. It tells me the file has 'unsupported content'. I know what the file is (a 28kb photo) and where its coming from but it will not download anything whatever I do. O2 have tried doing the settings but are not much help. They say its a network problem - I don't think this is.
Any ideas ?

It is a Network problem.
Recently I had been getting a text sayin I'd received an MMS my phone doesn't support & to log on to o2.co.uk to see it. I don't think there IS an MMS content that the P9xx doesn't support!
This occured a few times for no reason even though my MMS previously worked perfectly.
Also I received some messages where the content had simply disappeared!
O2 are a joke at times.

On Airtel(india), it gives me that msg when i try to send a theme to myself. Before, when i was on hutch, i could send themes to myself. So i guess it is a network problem

Networks really need to get their act together! MMS has been around for a few years now so there's no excuse to be still having problems with it!
Then again O2 often struggle to maintain their SMS service properly never mind MMS!!

Hi Simon. I tried to send an MMS last night (O2) and got the same message. The last time I encountered a problem like this was last year when I was on Orange. They told me that if the network detects too many flesh coloured tones in the picture a porn alarm goes off!!! What business of theirs it was what I was sending I do not know but thats what they said.

@Simon.
Actually, I took the picture size down a peg and I sent a picture no problem. Take it down to 640 by 480 in the camera settings before you take the snap and it should be OK sending. The picture was then around 41kb instead of 140kb which I think is too big for messenging on O2.
