I've had no problems with using Active Sync with my O2 XDA II till last week when an error log appears every time I try to Sync. "Syncronization cannot be completed. Disconnect your device and try again. If trouble persists, see Microsoft Active Sync Troubleshooter..."

None of the info on the website is useful, can anybody help me? Thanks

Have you changed the device name recently ?

Or have you installed any apps that would use Outlook ? such as MS Office ?

Nope to both questions. An officemate told me that it could be because my Outlook is not registered. Another officemate told me it could be because my dock does not work anymore. (As I tested the USB port and that works fine)

Am trying to borrow another dock to see if that's the problem why the device can't sync. But if you guys have any other suggestions, it's more than welcome! Still stumped on the problem.

yes it could be the docking, and also did you mess around with the connection settings? or what you can do is install activesync again on top of the old one. there is also activesync 3.8 out already if you havent got that get it from microsoft www.microsoft.com good luck, and one more thing try cleaning the connecters on the cable and from the xda II could be dusty.

Id try uninstalling and reinstalling the ActiveSynch software again.

I have an error i get everytime i synchronise too, but its to do with Outlook being old and not being compatible with ActiveSynch.

Also, if i change device ID, it often wont let me synchronise until i create another ActiveSynch profile.
