Ive just got a balkin dongle and i cant send stuff from computer to my phone.

When i go to do it this message pops up

The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.

If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.

help!!

There are two threads on Windows XP service pack 2 and bluetooth.
Try to find them.

Make sure your Belkin dongle is installed right and see if your computer pops up on the devices list on your phone when you search for a new device. Do the same thing on the computer by searching for your phone going to the BT explorer. After you find the devices, pair the devices and then you should be able to do what you want.

Sometimes this thing happens to me and what I do is restart the phone and it goes away.

I don't know what caused it and I don't consider it a classy way of resolving the issue, but hey, it works. (at least for me it does)

Joey,
make sure that both your phone and pc are discoverable, if one of them isn't it doesn't help.
Sometimes it is easier to pair with the phone doing the discovering rather than the pc/mac.
