Hi!!!
I donīt understand is it coming a new T68??
Look at www.mobil.nu they say that itīs many new functions will be added for the T68 for example IMelody, support for GIF, JPEG and you couldchande the icons and many things but.. Is it coming a new T68?? It stand so on that page that itīs maybe coming a new ericssonmobile name T68i a time ago...
ut will this new functions work on our T68??
Or if we want this new functions, do we have to buy a new T68 then?? Or can this things be uppgraded with a new program version??? |

I work in a Mobile store here in Portugal and two days ago a Ericsson sales guy went there, I talked to him and he said that there wasnīt no new MMS software upgrade for our T68, and that theres gonna be a new T68, T68i! I went mad and said that if this would happen I will sell my phone and never buy Ericsson again, he then said that itīs nothing sure yet but he thinks itīs gonna be that way! In the meantime iīve already sent one explicit mail to Ericsson here in Portugal and one to Ericsson internacional! Do the same and maybe we will turn this in our favor!

The T-68i has been mentioned before.
BUT "Harleydog" here on Esato, has actually got the new software with MMS,photoalbum and so on. AND he has exactly the same T-68 as we do ! Not the "i-version". He just got his phone flashed !
His software-version is called R1A(and something).
This should actually be the software, that was supposed to be in the T-68, right from the beginning, according to what I know.
And the people who are testing the T-68 with mms right now, are using the R1A version.
So I guess we will be getting this one as well. You cant really offer the software to some people, and not the rest, right 
Another good reason to believe, that the "normal" T-68 will get the mms is :
that if you look in the servicemenues under "text-labels", you will find the commands for mms,photoalbum and so on.
All we would need, would be to get the same software as Harleydog has got in his phone.
If its called R1A or R2B,..doesnt really matter, does it. It apparently works !

What you guys don't know is that many of the guys posting new features in the new R1A software is working at I'm able to see the IP address of the poster your know.. |

So let's guess R1A was a to early MMS-compliant version (regarding market and operators) so shipped T68 were disabled on Multimedia features... But R2B is the coming back of these capabilities! For public use and to be flashed on regular and already shipped T68...
Unfortunately, I will see a huge customer next wednesday without a MMS mobile... Too bad and Ericsson France isn't able to provide even a sample (and they doesn't seem to be authorized to put the right firmware on my own T68). Too bad, too late...

As I wrote earlier in this post,.."Harleydog" from the US, just got his "normal" T-68 upgraded,..and he got the MMS software (R1A). And it works.
So how would you explain this.
As far as I know, Harleydog doesnt work at and he has the exact same T-68 as you and I have. (same hardware and so on).

Is it possible to uppgrade for example EMelody with a new software???
Donīt you need a sound card or something like that in the phone!!!
I donīt know but some of you maybe do!!!
I canīt wait until next uppgrade..
