IR problems with K500i |

Could anyone help me? I've just bought a SE k500i and IR cable (USB). The problem is, i cannot send anything from my phone to PC. I have installed drivers on my PC (WIN XP + SP2) and everything is correct. I can send files only from PC to phone. When I try to send from my k500 it says "no connection" and "no device found". Thats all. I thought that cable is bad so i took another - the same problem appears. I must say that i can send data via IR to other my colege phone (siemens) and there is no problem with it. Please help me if you know something about problems with k500 and IR |

Well the simplest solution when it comes to some pc problems is really to restart the pc...anyway, I tried using an IR to transfer some pix, animations from the phone and it works. But one problem was i can't transfer the videos to the pc, so I returned the IR to the store and instead got a USB cable dcu-11. I can transfer from pc to phone and vice versa using it but still can't transfer videos. Am using the FMA program (thanks in part to govigovs recommendation). |

make sure that the speed rate of your IrDA adapter is less than 115200. set it to a lower value and try again.

go to Device Manager and open the properties dialog of your Infrared device. then go to the Advanced page and change the Maximum Connection Speed to a higher value.
for my K700i i'm using 57600 (56K) and it works fine.
