I've suffered the old Firmware as long as I could and finally bought myself a DSS-25.

The phone is recognised by the phone monitor software (I get the little green tick). Having followed through the instructions on the SE website I get right to the end and it comes up with "Unknown Error". I've mailed SE to see if they can help but thought I'd ask here at the great fountain of SE knowledge

Is it normal to have to use an application to "trigger" the connection? Simply docking my phone on the DSS-25 does not appear to recognise it.

Many thanks,

Daz

Have you tried it without running the SE software in the background? I think if the COM port is in use by that app. then the SEUS update software won't see the phone. SEUS connected to my phone without using any other apps to 'trigger' the connection.

As I shut off the app the phone monitor icon closes too. The update tool doesn't seem to trigger the monitor.

Problem fixed. I thought I'd read somewhere that this had to be done using IE, however the upgrade worked perfectly using Firefox.

Thanks for your reply.
