Only cable works, se should unlock it, its an old fone, so no need to worry thats its locked if u bring it to a service.

I phoned the SE service centre. They said they will able to unlock it and it will cost £17.63. Do you think those places that unlock mobile phones will able to do it at a cheaper price?
If i decide to get it unlocked at the SE Service i know it would be guaranteed as they they know what they doing rather than risk getting my handset f'ked up in the other places during the unlocking process.
A picture of my A2618s? It's the same as the one as in my first post.

Try your local friendly market stall holder who does things like unlocking, you should be able to get it for a tenner, or if you sweet talk him/her, perhaps a fiver, especially as it's an older phone.
failing that, many of the smaller, independent phone shops also do unlocking, try them also.

@ Sammy_Boy: Yeah, i was thinking having a look around locally to if i can find a place tat can do it for cheaper as SE Service centre is high priced to unlock an old handset like tat.
But i'm also very weary about getting it unlocked in those places tat can unlock phones due to a bad pass unlocking my Acatel which resulted killing the phone in the process

I've had a few phones unlocked via a market stall, generally they're pretty good, I guess you'll have to make a judgement on if the one you've chosen is good or not, perhaps see if anyone else has had anything unlocked from a particular stall/shop, see what they say
