I am just reading M-R.com review of the Moto MPx and Anton Kotov goes over the current form factors. He says SE has an upcoming unbelievable but true new form-factor, a Clamshell-Slider. Sounds cool but I agree with Anton its unimaginable, how on earth is it going to work ?? Can't wait to see some more solid info though |

Clamshell and slider in one phone! Wow, that is unbelievable, how did they manage to do that?

A European version of this is possibly on the cards.

no not really a slide but it do something different from the norm so to speak so it might be or it could be a new p series perhaps a flip phone that then slides out a keyboard or something |

That's what I thought when I read it. But I remember reading about this new mechanism months ago and also that it would be presented very soon and it's not here yet. Personally I really think this might be about that design from that contest, cause it does slide over the keypad when you rotate it. |

The rumours of SE replacement smartphone are getting stronger.
These new Form-Factor rumours that are going around will have something to do with SE introducing a qwerty keyboard on it's next smartphone. Hopefully sometime this year.
It may be a combination of a flip and a slide.

I know the one you mean. Someone created an image of one and posted it here. Very good in my opinion.
I really think SE is trying its hardest to incorporate a good sized Qwerty keyboard in to the phone and at the same time keep the Smartphone concept which it believes so much in.
This can only be done with some sort of flip/slide mechanism as it would also have to incoroorate the number keypad too.

What is the very left one, possibly SE? The u-shapes on top & bottom slide apart & the faceplate flips tothe side to unveil a widescreen & q-werty? Unfortunately I ain't got a 24/7 gasstation around the mag should be delivered within the next hour, but I'll go down to the fairgrounds later today anyways...
