SE is telling that HBH-300 with a CLA-11 is the best Car solution. How about HCB-300? Is really HBH-300 that good? What do you all think?
SE stuff that I use: [S700][P910][Z1010] [HBH-662][HBH-602][HBH-600][HBH-300] [HBH-200][HCB-300][CSS-25][DSS-25] |

"Supreme sound quality headset for your car"
HA HA HA: I have HBH 300 (before I used HBH 60 and HBH 200 - battery life was tragical with both, so i switched to HBH 300 - the battery life is really great now) and the problem is THE SOUND! Does not matter if I am connected to p910i, S700i or k700, there is ALWAYS a slight buzz in the background. Especially you can note this annoying thing when you turn volume to max. The last straw is that after upgrading the newest fw p910i to R4A10 HBH 300 is IN ALWAYS CONNETCTED MODE - it means the battery will be within 8 hours of such a connection dead. This is a clear bug and step BACKWARDS AGAIN.So HBH 300 is great as far as battery life is concerned, otherwise there is a lot of cons as well....Of course HBH 300 does the job, but could it be much, much more better!

I just got one and mine has the slight buzz, and also is always connected to my P910 (sorta, I'll explain). I need to decide in the next day or two whether to return it.
Here is my theory about the buzz. The headset is equipped with noise cancelling, which means it needs to make a small noise in order to cancel other noises around you. I think the buzz is a side effect of this noise cancelling.
As far as the always connected problem... after I paired the two devices my phone was displaying the bluetooth icon with the headset around it for hours until I went to bed. I left both on to see how the battery would deal. When I woke up, the bluetooth logo was normal. As soon as I pressed a button on the headset, the icon changed back to the headset. There seems to be some sort of connection time-out. Also, eventhough my phone and headset have been paired for about 20 hours straight, my battery still shows 75% charged.
The fit of the HBH-300 is unusual to me because my previous headset was a jabra BT200. I will have to get used to the way it hangs and the fact that I don't have to shove the speaker in my ear. Overall I already like this headset a lot, but I may still return it for something that fits a tiny bit better and is smaller. |

all headsets (hbh series) are on the always ''connected mode'' with the new p910i, EXEPT for the older hbh-30 but that is not a problem for me at first it seemed unusuall but after a while l got used to it and l don't mind anymore. and it doesen't seem to affect the battery that much. p.s l am saying this because l have all the hbh series headsets, 30,35, 60,65, 200,600,660 and all react the same exept for the 30 the oldest one it's allways in standby mode and connects only on an incoming call,oh and voice dialling doesen't work either.....

HCB-300 is a totally different beast. It's permanently installed in your car and hooked up to your radio (and, if you like, your stereo speakers). When they say the HBH-300 is great for the car with the little stand thingie, they mean among the portable handsfree options.
I think the HCB-300 is terrific, btw. My wife has a t630, I use a k700, and the handsfree finds whichever phone is in the car and hooks up to it. Sound q. is very good, you don't have to worry about your headset running out of batteries, and you can share it easily among phones.
(My wife used to have my old HBH-65 (still does have it, actually), but she could never manage to keep it charged, so for her in particular, the HCB-300 is a much better solution. I just wish she wouldn't use it so much... ) |

the 300 is just fantastic. perfect sound for me.
Ok, why the Headset icon?
This means that one of the bluetooth channels are reserved for the headset. it also lets you know the headset is functioning properly. the two devices are not actually conneted, hence the 'connection' beep in the headset when you make or recieve a call. this new system is fantastic and works flawlessly. i have only noticed slightly more power consumption on phone (p910i) but very minimul... |

I've an HBH-300 and all i can say is "It's wonderfull!"
Excellent battery performance.
And another great feature is the noise cancelling.
I can use it in my car with the windows opened and my girlfriend thinks i'm @ home quietly.
