I notice that if i dont use my headset for awhile and the next call that comes in, when i answer it, the voice goes to my phone instead of the headset, after i hangup my phone automatically pairs/reconnects to the HS-820 again, why is this? why cant it stay connected? Is this a problem with my phone or the BT headset? sigh... ppl said that this combo would work. My phone is brand new and so is the headset, not sure why it does this... also voice dialing doesnt work so well either. and magic word feature doesnt work. the headset is great though when it does work, no problems, just keeps disconnecting at times. Is this a problem with most BT headsets? is it a normal thing? | |

It must be the Sleep programmed into your headset,. this used to happen a lot with the old HBH-30 series.

Yes it is the sleep program fucntion, so as to preserve battery life, and I'm afraid there's nothing you can do with it... Magic Word does not work with a lot of BT headsets, except ther Sony Ericssons. But on the godd side, with HS-820, you have superior sound quality, a little less than HS-810 (my favourite bT headset for my K700 and I have tried a lot of them), but it is one of the best headsets available, better in my opinion than SE ones.
The sleep program is actually here to help: if it didn't go to "sleep", after five hours, you wouldn't have enough battery to make a call !
So if your phone rings, just push the button on the headset, don't need to touch the phone, and the headset shall pick it up without any issue, even iif it is not yet connected...

ahhh cool, makes sense. Thanks for pointing that out to me, I don't have the manual for this thing so i'm still trying to learn it, okay cool! Awesome headset by the way, the size, looks and everything Can you guys tell me what the LED light means when it flashes steadily, flashes slow? Is there anything else I'm missing that i might need to know about this headset? How do you switch ears? I want to wear it on my left but dont know how to do this?
I already know when the light is on all the time, that mean its ready for syncing, or pairing, but what do the other LED light pattern means?
Thanks a lot guys for your help, make me feel a lot better now... |

also, why is it that if i get an incoming fall and i press the answer button on the headset, the call goes thru the speaker on my phone instead of the headset? Arghh, but if i press answer on the phone, then the voice goes to my headset? It's like the total opposite.
How can i fix this... its annoying... I want it to pick up on my headset no matter what, i have it set for "incoming calls = sent thru headset" in my bluetooth menu too. sigh, i don't understand...
i mean it works sometimes, but now when calls are answered using my headset button, the call gets transferrred to my phone's speaker.... sigh... |

I think the best thing that you could do is ask someone here to send you the user manual of your headset. Maybe it is available online as a .pdf?
Anyway, I hope you'll get all your answers !
