I think even the current S700 has a CCD sensor already.

The W800 and K750 seem to be built on the same platform (following a Nokia strategy) with the W800 having a better music player app... and the K750 having better imaging software.

It may just be a software/app difference..or even a processor difference... with the W800 having a better audio DSP while the K750 having Sony's imaging chip.

They might be breaking off their lines into specialty products... W for audio users... K for photo/video... maybe another one (J?) for gaming... then the P-series hybrids.

This would make more sense to build off a stable platform... then just add specialty modules for audio or imaging or gaming. This would cut costs in production... and boost consumer interest since everybody wants a phone that does everything... but essentially just needs one feature to stand out.

None of the phones has a ccd-lens - both cmos. They dont have optical zoom either. Hardware wise th only difference as far as I know is the music dedicated button on the w800. Otherwise the only difference lies in the software - i.e. a fully developed musicplayer in W800. However the phones havent been finalizzed yet so the differences might be greater upon release. The w800 also comes with a 500 mb MS pro duo card in the box, the k750 only with a 64 mb.

Hey..the W800i has 3G capabilities while K750 doesnt. Thats what I see in general. Correct me if i am wrong. And I am looking for a 3G phone now bcos there is lots to do with video on mobile. 2G gets boring real fast.

The w800i has no 3g capabilities...Perhaps you meant the z800, which does...another 3g enabled new release is the k600.

My God! I've never seen so many incorrect answers in a single thread in my life .

The answer is that the K750 and W800 are identical apart from the W800 has a Flight mode (to turn off the phone functionality when you are in a plane) , comes bundled with a 512MB, rather than a 64MB, MS Pro Duo, and has a different cover.

little addition, the W800 comes with different headphones. They look similar to sony MDR-EX51. The K750 headphones look like the old ones.
