How do I know if my Infra-red is working (T630? |
Villordsutch Joined: May 17, 2004 Posts: 96 From: Newton-Le-Willows, UK PM |
A few of my friends (who don't have SE) have mobiles with IR on it. I have attempted many times to send an item (pic or tune) via IR and it keeps saying that it cannot find the other IR.
I have made sure that it is turned on and it is.
Is there anyway I can test if my IR is working?
Thanks

Ok send something via ir and just observe the ir port through the view finder of dig cam. You'll see port flashing if it is working.

and also on the screen on the phone, where the IR symbol is, it will have a few bars coming out of it which will tell you that it is sending. thats how you usually tell.

Thanks will look through the Digital Camera to see if it flashing.
The others are Samsung/Motorola/ and a SE 700 not one of them accepted the IR transfer.

Not sure on the 700(s) will check on Monday when the staff member is back in.
Silly Samsungs.
Will the blinking of my IR on the phone be obvious or will it be tiny?

well what did the 700 look like?? was it a candybar, or did it have a swivel to open it? like, did it swing open to the side?
and yes silly samsungs but about the blinking IR, i am not personally sure, but i assume it would be obvious if u were looking for it... but im not sure. someone will post again soon and tell us.

It looked like the candy bar.
The world should become SE and everyone can be happy (and open to BJ'ing )

I don't think you can see ir flashing. I say that just once and it wasn't phone, but laptop ir port. If you wanna test it, take any phone with ir, go to phonebook, more, send, via ir. If ir is working, you'll be able to send the contact to any phone.
