say if u took off the cover of a phone, and took it to a service point, would Ericsson know that you have done that and void the warranty??? How would they know that the cover had been taken off??? |

I recomend that you do not do such a thing, waranty is off the minut you do.
How they can see it is a very good question, but I think they can see if the screw has been taken out. |

the warranty is gone if not a certified person open it, but if you do good job they probably cant see it. but why do you have to open it your self?

the only reason why I want to take it off is that i want to put on a different fake cover!!!
I just opened up my old phone (sh888) and there were warranty seals everywhere saying 'warranty void if seal broken'. I wonder if the T68 has the same. |

on the sonyericsson site it says this:
This warranty does not cover product failures due to improper repair installations, modifications or service performed by a non-Ericsson service partner or opening of the product by non-Ericsson certified persons
which i understand as: if the phone breaks due to opening of the product by non-Ericsson certified persons, the warranty is void. so if a non-Ericsson certified person openes it and does not break it, the warranty will be still there.

Well, if you open the phone, and the phone breaks at a later time what do you think they will say. ?????? Yep, waranty is out, you have opened the phone yourself, you have caused damage that let to the breakdown when you opened the phone...
