i use two bluetooth devices for my t68.
one usb tdk go blue on an asus cuv4x that works fine.
another a tdk go blue pcmcia on an asus l8400b that doesn't work as it should.
after the 3. clean install i passed the install w/o errors. the prog demands the file serenum.exe at least 10 times, so don't skip this else it will end-up in troubles...
now i can connect the phone, do dial-up but not sync with outlook or connect the tdk mobile prog as the phone is not found....
tdk support never replies to questions, has bad faq, and a support page that is more off than online (when sending a support query)
shortly said: don't buy tdk, they are expensive but don't offer anything that's worth the extra money. |

I agree about the 'support' issue although i have never write to them.
The reason i brought a TDK PCMCIA is because i can see great support in alt.cellular.bluetooth. Now everybody there were pissed off.
However, other than i'm unable sent/receive files other than the predefined types, and their promised headset profile support; I have no issue with TDK PCMCIA at all. Sync'ng and other software does works perfectly with my T68i/XPPro.

i got a reply, even a phone call. unfortunately i was not there when the call arrived. i called back and learned that the described problems are known. it was not the support agent but somebody close to her the explained this. i tried to call again but never got through. my extended problem description is still not answered. |

Here's what i did:
1. install latest TDK driver, configure to fix Serial Port 1 to COM4, Serial Port 2 to COM5 (other configuration such as DUN, FAX etc is not important here)
2. Install Package_4_for_Ericsson_PFW_version_R2A04
3. In MPM, Enable COM5 and Disable all other ports
4. [i think i did restart window]
Before Sync'ng, i right click on the tray icon for the Bluetooth configuration and CONNECT serial port 5 (need to do it everytime windows is restarted for MPM to work)
You will see MPM has detected the phone, it shows a phone icon with a checkmark, at this time, sometime it will prompt the phone connect wizard (for once only), sometime only after Sync is initiated.
Now select Sync from Outlook and viola!
Sometime MPM might not want to detect the phone, in this case i will go to the Task Manager and kill the EMPWorker process (i will restart itself when necessary since it is a COM object)
If that still doesn't work, i will restart my phone, i noticed when using MPM, the phone might enter into the weird state whereby it respond with invalid data. (but it seldom occure howsaday, not sure it's coz' i have upgraded to i or a newer MPM version)
Hope this helps.
btw, i'm on XPPro, T68i R2E006, Outlook 2002 SP1, TDK Driver 1226

I did more or less the same. And spent more or less one hour on telephone with Yunisa from TDK support.
One point is that IRSync only seems to work if Outlook is the standar EMail, News... program.
I hope Yunisa can post the support steps in this qeue.
I had to enable all com ports in phone monitor (i think i could disable some of them) and now everything works.
