hi
can anybody tell me if i can buy a foreign phone but use it as a normal uk phone with a uk network provider.

While buying a phone from abroad, make sure it is triband. Also, check make sure it is unlocked and unbranded. An unlocked phone should work with any GSM sim card.

As long as the phone works on either the 900Mhz band (O2 and Vodafone), or the 1800Mhz GSM band (Orange, T-Mobile, Virgin), or preferably both bands, then the phone should work in the UK.
