Hi:

I've been following some of the threads here since I got my T68m last week. I upgraded it in the very same day, and then got myself an USB bluetooth adapter (AnyCOM USB Adapter).
It works perfectly with my WinXP machine (no I wasn't able to try GPRS browsing, but I've been able to send tones, BGs, themes, the whole show with it)...
Since I'm a proud owner of an Apple Powerbook G4 400 (aka Titanium, 1st gen) and I use it a bit more than the home PC, I want to get a bluetooth adapter for it.
I tried using the Anycom and it works PERFECTLY (with TechPreview 2), but since there are smaller (more portable) adapters in the market I wanted something like that for my notebook.
Do you guys have any recommendations regarding BT adapters that work on Macs ?

For now, working Bluetooth adapters on MacOS X:
- D-Link DWB-120M Bluetooth USB Adapter (Officially Supported by Apple)
- Anycom USB Adapter (I own one of this)
- Epox BT-DG02 Bluetooth Dongle (reccomended on MacOSXhints.com)
- Mitsumi USB Bluetooth adapter

Hi fellow Mac User,

such a wondrous feeling to greet a comrade here with our beloved T68 phones... (sob to tears)... Are there more?

Try this link to see if the Dlink device @ Apple Store fits you...

(the long address does not work because of expired session - arnoldc)

Sorry, long address...

Look out for iSync at

http://www.apple.com/isync

Regards

the DLink would be perfect, I had thought of it before, but the problem is that the Apple Online Stores don't ship internationally (maybe the US one does, but probably there would be expensive customs costs).
I've been thinking of asking my cousin (who's in the UK) to get one for me and then send it to me...but first I wanted to know what are the Apple users thinking about blutooth...and alternative working bluetooth adapters

Hey Kasaad,

you know if we are able to send files to the phone and vice versa through the isync software (like jpgs, gifs or animated gifs) besides syncing calendar and contacts?

If you can't send files using iSync you can always use Ericsson Connect...
great software, btw (get it @ www.VersionTracker.com) but only for MacOS X

Hi z0mbi3,

I can't find a "Ericsson Connect..." software in the stated link.

Only Ericsson Client. Do you mean that?

Can the Ericsson Client work with the new USB cable DCU-10 from SonyEricsson?

I dont know if you can use the USB cable...I think that it is unsupported on MacOS X, but I'm not sure

Just browsed macosxhints.com and found out another working solution for a USB Dongle...

One other thing, have you been able to sync your contacts with MacOS X ? (I got MobileSync, but MS pulled its conduit for Entourage )

Nope you can't send files and of course apple has problems with "third party" software, so iSync works only with mac software (iCal, Mail, etc') I was told by their engineers that there are no plans in the future to include intergration with the microsoft products.

What you should try is some of the applications that Jonas Saalig has up on versiontracker, I think they are called IR-client and mobile-sync

Cheers

I myself use a Mitsumi USB Bluetooth adapter with my iBook and T68mi. Works great.
Can't wait for iCal and iSync.
