I didn't know it could link (MMC-60) to another sound system through phono plugs

See link above (scotchgitt)

It has RCA connector for use with home hi-fi. Can't see why it wouln't work with head unit audio in sockets.

The (MMC-60) will do that just fine, if your Carstereo has a standard line input. Most modern Carstereos has some kind of line input, (except the cheapest of them), shouldent be any major problem connecting your K750 to those. You might need an adaptorcable in between depending on which type of jack your carstereo use.

This accessory is first on my list

Well, maybe not the most useful option for me, since I've got a mp3 caraudio player, but it should be useful anyway

...And now the W800 reveals it's true potential.

W800 + 1Gb Memory stick Duo + MMC-60 = Mp3/music video's/DVD that travel to all your other AV appliances

S/E your on to a winner!

And it's orange. Mmmm orange

For those without line-in on car stereos just connect k750 to mmc 60 then to adaptor then to one of those tape player accessories = k750 mp3s on any tape player.

I just had 2 other ideas about the cable. You could connect high quality head phones to a connector that fits the phono plugs and you then have excellent sound.

The other idea I had was and you could use an FM modulator to pass the mp3 sound to your car radio, only a few quid on ebay, something like this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]ory=39763&item=5771965944&rd=1

You simply plug it in the cigarette lighter socket, plug the jack into the music device (laptop, personal cd player, K750i MMC-60 with phono to jack connector), then tune your radio to the corect frequency and away you go, just so happens that I have one kicking about.

@scotchgitt

On your first suggestion:
The W800 has a line out socket/s for the MMC-60 cable to connect to the Line In sockets on either an Amplifier or Headunit. Headphones require a headphone jack which uses a signal of a different voltage. I'd suggest a set of Bluetooth Headphones.

On your second suggestion:
Your spot on - a FM modulator is a good solution for those without Line In sockets. Just check the connections as above.

would you not be able to connect the 2 phono plugs to a 2.5mm fmail jack and then plug in the headphones. This is whay I do with my Sky+ audio out leads, I have made up a phono to 2.5mm jack lead and listen to the radio or the news through headphones withuot having a TV on, surely it would work with the phone?

thanks

@scotchgitt

The important words there are: I have made up

That's because it is not a recognised conversion, ie: the voltages are different. But if it works for you and your happy with it that's fine with me.

I'm all for innovation and thinking outside of the box. That's why I like the W800.

WOW! that camera rocks! The biggest problem I have with my K700i camera is dust on the lens. K750i has lens cover... good one S/E.
