@whiz: Nope, not the 6600. Its got only 256.

That's why the confusion and reason to post this question. If you search on the internet, some sites say 1gb is the limit, but I cannot find any user experiences who have actually tried larger cards than 256mb.

Not true. I've seen ones with 512MB, and I think it can even hold 1GB.

These days there are 2GB MMC's, I wouldn't be surprised if it had no problem using them.

One of my friend did say the 66 supports 1gig card but the phone slows down considerably .

I'm sure i've heard of people using 1gig cards in their 6600's....Even my ngage qd accepts 1gig mmc....And it's on the lower rung in terms of s60 technology.

hmm so I just have to try? € 109,- for a 1gb. I just bought a 1gb SD card for my pda, it was only € 69,-
