i was reading in some forums about after updating the firmware(r2ae033) in the k700i u will b able 2 use minute minder durin calls but i cant find the option. can sum1 please verify if this actually true or just a rumor?

Rumour as far as I know, the K7 doesn't have minute minder for some reason. (I personally don't like it anyway!)

I think it can be enabled/disabled using Ericsson AT commands.
Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

You can enable the minute minder in the K700 using an application like HyperTerminal if you know the right AT commands
The K700 doesn't have an interface for turning the sound on and off, so remember the code for turning it off if you decide to enable it - otherwise you will be stuck with the minute minder turned on forever!
On code is: AT*ESMM=1
Off code is: AT*ESMM=0
