hello!
this is my first time posting and i thought i had to share this cuz i know it is a huge problem!
i have found a way to listen to mp3 quality music on the v802se without firmware upgrade, it is a little complicated but worth it!
programs needed:
windows movie maker
ImTOO Mpeg encoder
*mp3 file
*picture
first you have to start a new movie project on windows movie maker. add a picture and a mp3 (make sure the video ends at the end of the song*) the pic just has to be in some part of the file (begining, end, middle, thru out just pick one) then go to save file. it will save it as a wmv, now go into ImTOO Mpeg Encoder put the file you just made in to it then select mpeg4 from the video codec list, then set video size to 128x96, and bit rate to 150, and frame rate to 15. then encode, then put onto your v802se and look in media player under VIDEO and it will be there click play it will play the pic and the music and the file is like 3 - 5 megs! and you can control from the outside! perfect mp3 quality!
any questions just ask! |

The V802se is not like the v800, it does not just play mp3 it plays encoded mp3 (OMA DRM) and can not be cracked with the sonyericsson DRM Packager belive me i have tried, the only mp3's you can play are those downloaded from the japanese vodafone~~ the software is different then v800 |

great info ballad! i have the same problem with the 802se, was wondering what the use of a memory stick pro duo is if you can't even listen to your own music.
is there any way of making the "videos" into your ringtones as well? |

Hi,
I tried enconding mp3 with a picture into mp4 and then outting it in my v802se and playing it. But it just does not play at all. It say that the DRM protection key is missing. I tried using the DRM packager on this mp4 file, but it still gives the same message.
Funny part is that I downloaded quite a few 3gp videos from the net and tried playing them on my phone. Half of them play nicely, but the other half give the same message that the DRM protection key is missing.
All this while I was assuming that DRM sh** is not there for 3gp files!!!
Anyways the only thing working for me right now is to convert my mp3 to amr (which are way low in quality) and listen to them on my phone.
Any help in playing mp4 on my phone will be appreciated.

Damn... Don't think I'll be getting a 3G phone if it means having to deal with all this DRM sh*t.
