branded phones which don't have my friends are from carriers that don't provide the service themselves, which is a bit shortsighted really

Another reason why i hate branding. Thanks we don't have such things here in India on gsm.

I'm lucky to get a unbranded K700i.This My Friends gprs chat service is cool.My little brother of 15,got a branded S700i,hes unlucky he doesnt have My Friends on his phone.

Rick, i don't think it has got anything to do with luck. Just choose an unbranded phone when you're getting one! Don't buy a branded one! :-D

I never used my friends on any phone I had it on. I prefer to connect from my ipaq through the phone and use msn or icq and presviously yahoo but yahoo stopped access to their portal a while back

your bros 15 and he has a S700i ?? I think he's the lucky one.... i'd rather forego My Friend's chat service for a better phone There are some chat applications available that can allow you to chat

Well i just love Yamigo/My Friends 
Right now my operator Optimus is giving free wap grps at weekends so i´m able to be always conected to msn, while i can use the phone normaly because My Friends runs on the background
