Just bought a bluetooth device (billionton) and it works great... I can transfer themes, pictures and so on. But how do i get my applications or games to work? All I can do is to transfer them to phone, but i can't move them to the games folder or program folder in the phone...
i can't even execute them on the phone...just view info or move them....
thanx for the help!

As I recall, you need to use 'Obex Object Push' or something like that. I think you just drag and drop the .jar file onto the object push folder and that's it. |

apps and games might not be .jar format... just rename the extn and try

Thanx for the tips!
The files are all in *.jar..... =)
But the OBX Object Push won't work.
It says it couldn't recieve the businesscard. File not found.
That's what happens when i double click the OBX icon.
Maybe some kind of setting??
I've tried everything...
I believe i somehow have to get the apps into the program/game folder to get them to work at all.....
anyone else got any suggestions on how to get the files in thos folders? |

He you have service pack 2 installed it might be the cause of the problem.

Anyone know if FMA can be used over bluetooth? Might be worth a go if you can't get Obex transfer to work. |

It can be used with bluetooth although I'm not sure if you can upload games using fma.

don't have sp2, but i don't think that's the problem. Where do u guys put your games? Can you guys put the games directly into the games folder? maybe there is a setting i've missed... making the games/program folder show up in my explorer?? |

You can certainly upload games using FMA, you just connect the phone, select Action>File>Upload, choose the file, and the phone will give you the choice of storing it it Games or Applications folder.
Suggest you try FMA - free software, very good for synchronisation, ringtones, pictures, etc. Do a search for the download link.

Thank u all for you answers!
FMA really seems like a nice program!
Downloaded it, but i never got it to work. It just kept freezing all the time, seems to be alot of bugs in that program??? I'll download it as soon as they released a new version though..gotta try it again!
I did however solve the problem of not being able to put files in the program o games folder. I just rightclicked the file i wanted to send (send to bluetooth unit). By doing this the phone asked me if i wanted to put it in the program or games folder! yeay!
thanx again! |
