@dephanix
Does your phone ask you what language to use everytime you turn it on? I have a R3k004 with asian customization.

for those who has trouble updating with SEUS, try www.davinciteam.com to upgrade/debrand/change sms tone alert... but it cost 1 credit each..
btw, you can mute the camera shutter after upgrading and master resetting.

I have an unbranded/unlocked S700i (I bought it SIM free from carphone warehouse)
It had the R3B Firmware....
I had my old DSS-20 from my P800...
Update seemed to work fine, until after 100%, at which I got an error message, sayign update failed, take the battery out, and re-insert, and check if phone switches on.
did so, and phone did switch on, and a quick check of software says that Firmware R3K is installed and everything seems to be working?
Soo.. what is going on?
I have noticed other people had similar experiences, where it would say failed, but the phone is indeed updated.

I am just about to purchase a desk synch stand.
Will the newer CSS-25 do the same as the DSS-25? |

yeah css-25 is the same as dss-25 but with the inclusion of a speaker and a microphone for use as a handfree |

The CSS25 is not the same as the DSS25 as it doesnt have a data cable built in and cannot be used for the :se online update service. As stated, it must be a DSS20 ir DSS25 and nothing else will work. |

I had that message the first time! I then re-did the whole process and it finished correctly.

Nope, but the Language Settings now only have "Automatic" and "English", and the Wiazrd now asks if it should import contacts from the SIM Card

@Jc_White
is that right?
Good job I asked then wasn't it, although it still can be used as a synch-station as per on the website which is funny.
Thanks JC, you just saved me £29.50.
I'll buy you a pint (one day).
