How would I be able to tell if my T610 is on it's way out? How long does this phone usually last if properly taken care of?
Thanks! |

How old is it anyway? A decently maintained phone should last more than 5 years.

Can't remember if it was June of '03 or '04. I've just had a few problems with it lately and was wondering. |

Well, my T230 was bought on 17th december 2003 and I'VE used it very very roughly and till now I've had no problems with it. Have you updated the firmware? What kinda troubles is it giving?

Could be as simple as needing a new batterie. If it is less than one year old it could be still under warranty.

I've used mine for a year and a half with daily charging, few hours of wap daily and had no troubles. So, the battery time decresed some 30% and the joystick didnt respond always but overall,a though phone.Nuthin' u can't fix if u take it to a service.

Well, if my gh388 works fine since 10 years, t610 should do it too. Guess it depends on fw and batt.

The firmware on my phone is R1S001. I am assuming that this is an older version? Lately, when I make a call, it says that it is calling, but there is nothing on the speaker and when I try to end the so called call, none of the keys will respond. It went on for about five minutes. I finally had to pull the battery out to get it to stop. It's never been dropped or mis-handled. I'm just figuring that my phone is on it's way out. Just for info, what would be the next step up from the T610?
(By the way the battery doesn't stay charged as long as it used to either).

I think these are minor software glitches and can be sorted out by a firmware upgrade.
