Hi,

I've recently replaced my T610 with an S700i. I previously used a Kondor in car handsfree unit (plugs into cigar lighter with a built in speaker) to take calls while driving, but the contacts are getting a bit worn and it keeps falling out! The main benefit of the Kondor was that it charged the phone whilst connected, but I noticed from someone else post that this may not be the case with the official SE HCQ-30 kit. Can anyone confirm that this is the case, and if so, suggest an alternative that charges as well?

I also used the Magic Word and Voice Dialling facilities on the T610 and am now doing the same on the S700i. However, I find on the S700i that the beep following the recognition of the Magic Word and the confirmation of the contact name match are a lot lower in volume than they were on the T610 (which seemed to use the in call volume settings). Once you get into the call, the volume on the S700i is normal. Does anyone know a way of increasing the voice dial confirmation volume?

Cheers,

Darren

Hi and welcome in here

I've been using the HCQ-30 for quite a while now and I'm quite happy with it.
Yes, it does charge the phone.
The draw back of the unit it the "feed back" effect you get if you don't use the mic that comes as extra in the box. It's not much of a job to fit it in the celing, or where ever you choose to fit it, but you really do need to take the time to fit it. When its done works great.
