PLZ Help me (MA-600 not detecting K500) |

I purchased MA-600 infrared device to connect my Sony Ericsson K-500i...i did these steps to make it workable
1-Installed the Software for the device(Infrared)
2-Installed the PC SUIT for sony ericsson
3-installed IRDA with com-3
but it is not detecting my MOBILE PHONE...please help me out as soon as possible..i m quit worry...
i m using P4 with Windows XP

You mean you installed the phone manager? Is the correct port been enabled there? Does the green light come on top of the ir?(if there is one) How did you try activating the device?

Yeah the device show GREEN LIGHT Always ON untill i shut my PC down...
The Pc-suit show 3 ports Com-1 & 2 Enabled while com-3 Disabled when i enabled com-3 it says THE PC SUPPORT IRSOCKET FOR INFRARED COMMUNICATION THEREFORE ALL IRCOMM will be DISABLED....
I turn on infrared on my CELL and put it closer to the device but i won't detect...
Please tell me where i m wrong...please

Your doing every thing ok, as far as i can see. Try restarting the comp. And install the ir modem, just in case. (it is not needed, but worth a try) and i'm also out of ideas. You will have to wait till some1 else is here. (Ir drivers at SE support page)
