Anyone have an opinion as to whether the cable at this e-bay link can be used for reflashing/unlocking etc?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBay[....]69598368&rd=1#ebayphotohosting

If not, does anyone know somewhere I can buy one at about the same price? What's the going rate?

Thanks!

it's going to be a bit more expensive than £2.95 mate

I don't think this cable can do the job... although they've made a nice cryptical item description there

that's the cable you're looking for...

Thanks - anyone else? It looks identical to the T28 cable (that's if they're selling the one pictured) and they CLAIM software flashing support.

Second opinion?

@ £2.99 i doubt that that is the correct cable...these cables are generally a bit more than that...and this one shown is a serial port cable, u get a USB cable now...its so much faster than the serial cable. The cost for one of these i around £15 - £30...i could be wrong!

For anyone interested, I just received this cable today and it IS a service cable, just unbranded/upgraded using Setool2. Just about the cheapest I've seen, and I think they have plenty more if anybody needs one.

I got a T28 service cable off of eBay for £2 + £1 for delivery, and it really is a service cable and not a data cable as I've used it!

@jmi

If you're asking me, then yes I did, today, with no problems at all.

The data and flash cables cost the same wholesale in Asia... under USD1 each.
