We purchase a unit from CellAmericas (www.cellamericas.com) that is a blue tooth adapter and a cellular docking station. We connect the bluetooth module to the docking station base, plug the cell phone into the cigarette lighter adapter in the car, in the garage, and now can send and receive calls in the home on normal corded or cordless phone using our cellular phone minutes. This is too cool! Our garage is about 100 feet from the fartherst part of our house, but it still works great. And they gave us a discount on top of what we found to be the lowest price.

Thanks all. I hope to contribute nicely here.
I've been asked to post a photo of the Dock N Talk + blue tooth module - I tried to upload one, but don't see it anywhere. Any ideas??

Never mind - I think I figured it out - so here it is!

This is a great idea! What I've been wanting however, is the opposite of this. I want my mobile phone to be able to double as a cordless phone (via Bluetooth) and use my landline to make calls.

Here's how it works and what it does. It's a bit wordy, but here you have it!

It is a wireless terminal and cell phone docking station that allows cell phones to use land line devices or regular desk phones and interior home wiring to place and recieve calls using a cellular calling plan.

It works with existing landline service or, you can replace your landline service and go totally wireless. It charges your cell phone too!

With the Blue Tooth module, you can leave your cell phone in the car and still use your home phones via your cellular calling plan.

Currently, the Dock N Talk is compatible with more than 350 cell phones including Motorola, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Nextel and nearly all cell phones that have Blue Tooth capabilities.

Make and receive cell phone calls using Dock-N-Talk™ with normal wireline cordless or corded telephones;

Get better reception by docking your cell phone in your "hot spot" for strongest signal and talk anywhere in your home;

Gives consumers the choice of cell phone service for the home or office with the same functionality as wireline service;

Universal design supports an unlimited number of handsets with currently over 400 cell phone models supported including some of the most popular phones from Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola and Siemens and more;

Use local number portability to move your land line number to a cell phone and keep using your land line phones;

Charges your cell phone while docked ensuring your cell phone is always fully charged;

Have the convenience and audio quality of a full-sized handset, speakerphone or headset for extended calls;

Utilizes and transfers features such as voice recognition, one-touch voicemail dialback and SMS message alerts from your cell phone;

Place your cell phone in your best area for cell phone reception and use regular corded or cordless phones throughout the house;

Use the free unlimited nights, weekends and mobile to mobile calling plans to their fullest while fully utilizing unused peak minutes;

Bluetooth Module interfaces wirelessly between the Dock-N-Talk™ and cell phone with no need for a cable;

Sends Caller ID and Visual Message Alert from cell phone to compatible home phones;

Switch an active call seamlessly from cell phone to home phone (and vice versa);
