Do you have any data/internet profiles in your phone? If no, get them from the operator, or SE site. But i did say to go to the operator, because, it anyways needs to be activated.

As far as yahoo, gmail and other pop wail services are concerned, they cant be used on ufone. I asked them. They said that they have disabled the pop and smtp protocols. Send me an email so that we can together find a bunch of people to force ufone to enable them. radarblip609@yahoo.com.

Yeah. I got the solution. Dont use the wap apn. Use the internet apn. It is different for diff cities. eg for islamabad is ufone.piinternet

You cant send cybernet mail from smpt because cybernet uses port 25 for smpt which is blocked by ufone. Try to use that server's email account that uses port other than 25 for smpt. Try http://www.bluebottle.com for email account.

I would also advise you mail.bluebottle.com. It works for me on ufone. I can read mails as well as send.

But hey, when sending mail from bluebottle from ufone, i do it from port 25. It goes very fine. Why not cybernet?

I checked the port 25 for smpt on bluebottle it works now. One month ago it was not workable. I use port 587 for smpt on bluebottle. As far as cybernet or other mail servers concern, you can recieve mail successfully but cant send, perhaps it may be the servers problem that block mail from some IPs. Now I think ufone is totally innocent in this case.

You might need to contact cybernet to tell you the port or the alternative port for smtp. And yeah, dont forget to post it here.

hi i m from pakistan

I m using ufone GPRS

my APN is ufone.pcwap

I was using t610 few days ago .. tried its builtin email client with several pop accounts . including bluebottle hotpop and gmail ... and it always gave me an error msg saying " cannot find server" after searching for a long time

I even tried accessing these accounts by directly putting in the pop and smtp server's ip adress.. as i thought my t610 cannot convert host to ip addresses ... but no luck

I declared that seomething is wrong with my t610 .. but now i have changed it with a K500i ... and the problem is still there .. someone told me to put ufone.pcinternet as the APN ... that didnt help ..

have anyone successfully connected to any pop account using SE k500 via ufone GPRS ?
