It will not come here for a long time. There is only 1 3g network in india. With more 3g networks coming, it may come here sooner or later. If you can import one thru a friend then pls do so. It will work here.

hi all.....checked out the new k600 and the z800...
here r my views...
k600 looks nice...ddnt go through the features but the looks r pleasing.....but it looks a lot like 1 of those low end f***in samsung fones from the front...
z800 looks great.....though i would have loved it if had a more conservative simple design.the features r great.i give it 4.5/5.....but i wont buy it coz i hate folding and swinging fones......

By the time that the phone goes to market we'll have two 3G networks operating in South Africa...so best bet the phone will be available in 3Q.

Yup. So is airtel and Bsnl. Only thing keeping them is license clearance from TRAI.

There is no way only one operator is gonna get license. It will either be for cdma or gsm in general.

Nope, reliance and tata will never want 3g licenses, only gsm players will need that. And yes, the licenses need to be issued individually, but they all are given on the same day, only in rare cases they may delay for one operator, the airtel has already been testing 3g. I will pm you a secret whiz.
