yeh to send via infa-red ull need a infa red port, and to recieve by blutooth a bluetooth port, i think bluetooth would b the more expensive, so id go for infa red. |

Get a bluetooth card for your PC or laptop. Sending files is just drag and drop. |

What msg do you get on your phone or computer? I have no problem with these steps I follow:
Search for the pic you want in your phone
Turn on the ir post on your pc/laptop
Go to options when you've selected your pic
send picture>ir on phone
The transfer should be visible on the pc/laptop.
BTW, I'm using XP and a hoya ir port. Hope this helps. |

Now I am confused
I too am using the Belkin Bluetooth Dongle and the T68i. And while Bluetooth works great for syncing Outlook and sending pics TO the phone (sendfile, mypictures etc.) I have not found a way to transfer pics from the phone TO the pc (other than email). When I send via Bluetooth it just tried to connect (see it on both phone and dongle) and then immediately fails. My phone is on 'ON' (versus Auto) for Bluetooth. What Software do I need on the PC to make this work ?
Thanks.
Daniel.

AFAIK, you can't send the pics from your phone TO the PC via BT...not yet anyway. IR is easy...just enable your IR port, and beam the picture from your phone.
My PC has both BT and IR, sending pictures, contacts, sync info, etc is much better through BT. But sending files FROM the phone TO the PC seems to only be possible through IR.
It's not BT fault... so far, no SW has been made for the PC to enable reception of files from a phone... only works with another PC via BT. |
