Hey everybody.
I am the owner of a beautiful T39m (here in Romania there are very few T68 owners...).
On the back of my T39 is says "R2A" - i guess this is the hardware model, for my software is R2K...
Well a friend of mine has a T39 too an he has 'R2B' written on his phone.
What's the difference between theese phones.
And what will be different if I upgrade my software to R3A ?? Do you know any links for phone's soft&hardware ???
thanx

It's hard to teach you how E works with R-state but in practic there are no difference between HW R2A & R2B. I have a R520 and also wonder if i should uppgrade my SW to R3A (has R2M currently).

Your phone is produced in Malaysia by at Sham alam, Selangor. Is that a place in malaysia?

There a now major changes of HW, changes R-state on the phone when new SW is loaded from Factory. So if you get an sw upgrade to R3A then you can say that your phone is an HW R3A as well.

Thanks for being patient and answering all my questions.

Am not familiar with the place in Malaysia.

What's "R-state"? and finally, why is it that philippines doesn't have the hardware to upgrade my phone?

R-state is used for revisionhandling.

R1A, R1B, R2A etc... these are different R-states

Why they can't upgrade the SW in your phone? Only can answer that.

Do you know any websites/URL where I can find information about the differences between R-states?

Yes, Shah Alam is a city in Malaysia. And Ericsson has a manufacturing plant there.

GOwin: There are no such websites where you can get that infomation but as i wrote earlier almost all changes of HW R-state depended on what SW the phone was flashed with in factory. They have changed label (it says instead of Ericsson).
