The T610s has a LCD screen while the T630/37 has a TFT. Won't that make a difference?

I'm not sure if this works, t610 has a 900/1800/1900 freq, while t637 has a 850/1800/1900 freq. I'm not sure if the hardware supports this. I may be wrong.

The T630 screen is better. Agreed. What i'm asking is, that the T610s is designed to work with a normal LCD display so its hardware must be designed for that. It might not satisfy the requirements of the better TFT screen of the T630.

If you are using a t610 with a T630 firmware, you need to change the screen to make it work. Else will not. No hardware trouble.

thats what im trying to do is run t637 firmware on t610 but i was told that u have to switch out the screen with a t637's screen becuase the firmware is set for a higher res witch the t610 lcd doesnt support. witch means the screen quality should be better on the t637 screen then on the t610. also the t637 firmware has some better feature like the zoom for camera etc.

You might be able to use the T630FW to flash your T610 let us know how it works. There was a discussion before about that a couple of month ago.http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=60620&start=15#post788627
there are others use "T610 to T630"

i dont think the t630fw will work without the t637 lcd ether as im pretty sure the t630 and t637 use the same screen. since the lcd's on ebay say "t630/37 oem lcd"

They are exactly the same phones except of the 850/900mhz and the software branding.

dont u have to buy a t610 housing that looks liek a t630?? i rememebr hearing that a t630 housing and buttons wont work on a t610, instead you need a t610 housing with buttons and all that look identical to the t630... right?

Residentevil - The t630/37 has a better lcd that supports a higher res than the one on the t610 thats why u cant flash the t630fw to a t610 without the t630/37 lcd.

EastCoastStar - your right the t630/37 buttons wont work on the t610 unless u get a t630/37 pcb board witch comes with the housing im buying from ebay. that way the buttons will work.

The t610 hardware will not support the T630/t637 lcd.

Perhaps, that is why he is changing the screen?
