Can someone please help me i have recently purchased a datacable for the P800 but have no idea on how to get it to work at all i have installed all the software for the cable and when i connect it to my P800 nothing happens at all. Do i need new software or something??Please help

Hello,

What cable are you using and what software have you installed?

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

Thanks for the quick reply. Im using the DAU-9Pcable i installed the software on the cd one called oxygen, the other is just called sony ericsson which is used to connect all sony ericcssons to it.You dont need anything on the phone do you? oh yeah and the usb data cable is Fully MBus, FBus and DAU-9P compatible. Thanks

Hmmm i have no experience with that cable. It is best to use the syncstand that comes with the P800. Are the drivers correctly installed?

Yeah installed properly, not looking to good this! It says on the installation manual to select the proper COM for the software but i dont know which one its in and i have 5 usb ports and have tried them all

Go into device manager and you will see the cable under "com ports"

Yeah it says its in COM4 any idea on how i find out which port it would go in now i have no idea where that is
