Homepage Locked on P910i |

Hi,
I have recently purchased a P910i (second hand) and I am having problems with the Internet, MMS, GPRS and WAP settings as it looks as the previous owner had this phone on vodafone contract and I am using vodafon payg, I have had the phone unlocked to other networks to see if this will do the trick, but the internet connection settings are all greyed out.
The vodafone shop and sony site have sent me the necessary auto set up messages in order to set these up but these are not working, showing the error "the device is read only"
Any help please this phone costs a bit and I would like to be able to use ALL of the many functions, thank in advance.

I believe gettin it unlocked and then reflashed to a proper unbranded firmware should get rid of all your problems. |

Buying an unbranded one will result in the same problem. No matter what branding u have it'll be either voda or SE homepage...

Vodafone branded P910`s are locked so that you cant change the settings for MMS or GPRS even if you have had them unlocked. The only way of sorting is to get the firmware changed to a completely unbranded version. |

@ADIRRTYSPIC
You can't flash the firmware by your own though. it need to be done with a "fighter" cable. I think it is available in most of the handphone shops in u.k, unlike u.s = (
