Has anyone else seen this?
When in the car yesterday (and again this morning), K700 is sitting in centre console, Bluetooth is on for headset, screen is in Automatic (clock) mode.
From time to time the screen will light up briefly - no sounds, no messages or anything - and then quickly dim and go back into clock mode.

The only thought I have is that it's doing it if it loses signal completely, so it flashes when it regains a signal, but everytime I've looked at it, the signal strength has been at maximum.

The phone is on Orange, but unbranded via DaVinci and is has R2L firmware.

Any ideas?

Another harmless bug! I think. My T230 used to behave like that earlier.

I get this but only when i've left it in a option (sms, games folder...etc). and never when on the main screen.
Maybe it does it to remind you that your still in a app???

Thanks guys.

It's not a real annoyance, but when I see the screen light up I think I'm about to receive a call or a message, so it can be a little distracting while driving (but no more than actually making a call I guess).

Have never seen it.

I do notice the K700 is quite active, sometimes it causes static on nearby audio equipment, something like (but not the same as) when searching for connection or when about to ring or receive sms.

Maybe the 2 phenomena are related to the same cause.

I have that too, I don't think it's a bug, but a "reminder" that you have left the phone unused when not on the main screen. Quite useful I would say!

My service provider is Cingular in the States and I just upgraded to the new firmware with the dss-25 and www.se.com. The light comes on all the time and also there is static all over my other electronic devices (like my speakers) It is really anoying actually. I am not running any apps in the back ground or anything, i just lock my phone automatically and usually i have a ringtone that is silent for 2 seconds before it starts ringing in case I am close to the phone I can see that someone is calling me and I can answer before the phone rings, but now I feel like the phone is going to start ringing everytime my screen comes on. I don't know what else to do. I will call SE and if they find a solution I will post another message here. If anyone else find something out please let me know!
