Hi, I just ordered my K700i and hope to get it in a few days. A question I forgot to ask about the phone is how long are you able to make video's for?

Also, how long can you make your own personal ringtones? is there a limit?

Thanks in advance

The video capture's Video Length can be set to limited (10 seconds) or unlimited (depends on available memory). In my experience you can record up to about 1 hour of video into the 41 MB.

Ringtones doesn't have a length limit but for practicality 30 seconds is already too long - because within about 5 seconds you're going to answer it anyway.
resistance is futile.

I sometimes DO NOT answer my fone, if the caller is NOT included in my phonebook's - LIST I just hate - 'pleasant surprises' . . . But, yup, the 30 secs. of ringtone (taken from mp3s et al) will suffice though ! [addsig]

If you leave the phone ringing, it will automatically be considered by the network as unattended or unavailable and will be cut automatically. How long? I don't know, maybe depends on the network provider but I'm sure it won't be long enough to let you hear an entire song.

My Dad copies MP3 songs to his Nokia 6230's MMC (ringtone) in it's - entirety mate The sad part of the story is that he downloaded songs in the 40's -50's and 60's era and everytime someone calls him rest assured that caller will be waiting for a long time, as my Dad want to finish the sound of the ringtone being played - till the last stanza ! If I was the caller, I will turn it off after 1 minute, fortunately for your dad, his callers have really admirable patience.

Hmmm . . . the spelling was quite - 'mispelled' mate. Should be 'patients' as my Dad is a doctor by profession (internal medicine), though his job then was focused more in making medicines-worked in the country's TOP pharmaceutical company for 34 years, but their family has a small hospital somewhere in the North where he visits once in a while dude ! OK we're officially out of topic now. Besides using "patients" will make my sentence ungrammatical.

@Sion, BTW, let me also add that the video recording length also depends on the size of the video you use as there are two settings: Large (176x144) or Small (128x96).

I think in India operators have put a 45 second limit. If you don't pick up the phone in 45 seconds, it disconnects. Long enough for midi files! :-D

OK, what I really know of is that the video can be played for only 45 mins. - max as per manual [addsig]

Just for the sake of testing, I actually captured a video of the road while I was having a long drive and yes it was about 1 hour. The screen on my phone was already in standby mode (clock showing and lights turned off) but the video was still recording.

edit: I was recording at 176x144 size so if you use 128x96 you should be able to capture more.
