Hey guys. I just saw in the hutchworld homepage that they are going to charge us on every kilobyte downloaded, on hutch gprs, just like they do on hutch access. This is very bad news. We won't be able to use it on pc then... Will cost a fortune. Looks like i gotta look for another gprs provider with i fixed monthly rate and no download charges. Is there any such operator in karnataka?

dude, mobile operators over the world charge for volume of data transferred...Hutch was generous enough to not charge so far...this was expected...you get free wap for 99 bucks + free mms...+ you tinker with proxies and get free web access...did u really expect it to last forever...wake up, dude..

Hey ppl check this out >> http://www.hutch.co.in/corpsi[....]tchworld/subscribe/charges.asp
this one says if i am already a hutch mms subscriber, i wont b charged for data i download. Its only applicable for new subscribers. no limit on data transfers as it was previously qouted. New subscribers pay Re1 for 100kb download.
Confirm from the link
cheers.

Hi
here in Bombay PC internet requires Advanced GPRS that comes for 499 a month with 100 mb free. that quite reasonable as unless u downlad like hell browsing can fit within 100mb
i use the 49 basic gprs option so i dont knw about the speeds on advanced

Hi praniyo! I am telling you information which you can totally trust. Hutch/orange have three schemes for hutch access-
(1) Rs. 199 :-
the monthly rental for this scheme is 199/- and you will have to pay 50paisa per 10kb of data uses.
(2) Rs.499 :-
you'll have to pay 499/- as rental and you will get 100mb of free data uses and after 100mb you will have to pay 50p/10kb.
(3) Rs.899 :-
monthly rental will be 899/- and you can access unlimited data.
Note:-in some states only 199/- scheme is available.
Information given above is 100% trustable.
Thank you!
Vande Mataram.

@abhay- i think cc didn't provided the right information, every executive gives different information. Actually hutch/orange mail is the same thing. If you want to use the hutch/orange mail service you will have to activate hutch access first, thats why he told you that these three schemes are for mail service.I talked to cc also they said that only 199 scheme is available in rajasthan Thats why he confused you. it is possible that only 499/- scheme is available in your state. As there is only 199 scheme is available in rajasthan. But there are three schemes.
